Connect Le Chat to Relay

Give Le Chat a memory it shares with your other AIs. Plans, progress and reviews saved in Le Chat can be picked up by any of the 25 AI tools Relay works with, and the other way round. It takes about two minutes.

1. Get your connection link

  1. Sign in to Relay with Google. It's free during the beta.
  2. Open Integrations, click Set up on Le Chat, then Generate connection URL. Copy it straight away: it's shown only once.
  3. Below, YOUR-KEY stands for your link. The dashboard shows the same steps with your link already filled in.

2. Add Relay to Le Chat

  1. Open Le Chat → Connectors (Intelligence) → + Add Connector → Custom MCP Connector.
  2. Name: relay (or any name you like). Server URL:
    https://mcp.relaymemory.app/mcp/YOUR-KEY
  3. Authentication: None. Click Connect, then enable the connector in a chat.

3. Test it

Send this in Le Chat. It should answer from your Relay memory:

Make it save on its own

  1. In a Le Chat chat, send this once:
    In every conversation, store our work in Relay: save new plans, add progress updates as we go, and keep it up to date.
  2. Le Chat asks permission to use Relay. Choose Allow always, so it saves as you work. Deleting always asks you first.
  3. To keep it on in new chats, add the same sentence to Le Chat's custom instructions.

Using Relay in Le Chat every day

  • In a new chat, open the tools menu and switch on the Relay connector.
  • Approve Relay's actions when Le Chat asks, and say "use Relay" in your message.

Things to say in Le Chat:

Save this plan to Relay for the project "My project".
Pick up my latest plan from Relay and continue it.
Add a progress update to Relay for this work.
Review the latest work in Relay and add your review.
Remember in Relay that I prefer short answers.
What's waiting for me in Relay?
Le Chat runs in the cloud, so it needs the public URL. Mistral notes that custom connectors aren't reviewed by them, which is fine here: it's your own server.
